Barracudas

Left to right: Pete Trotzuk, John Cody, Skip Prest and Al Harlow

The Barracudas grew out of the original Dawn Patrol. The band consisted of my old pal Al Harlow (Prism/Seeds of Time), John Roles (Chilliwack/Doucette/Bond) and Rick Enns (Tom Northcott Trio/United Empire Loyalists/Seeds of Time).

It was simply a corporate gig, doing one-nighters for big paycheques, and even though we had all worked with recording acts, we never entertained the idea of doing original material in this act. The membership tended to fluctuate; we were always subbing ourselves out, and the group was never taken all that seriously by the members. But we had fun, and the musicianship was always first-rate.

By the time this shot was taken, Rick and John had left. Pete Trotzuk and Skip Prest (Sweeney Todd) are pictured along with myself and Al.
